upfield is operated by Georges Anthony Boum (“upfield”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at georges.boum18@gmail.com.

upfield is a peer-support tool for people recovering from a sports injury. It is the human layer alongside your recovery — it is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for your physiotherapist, athletic therapist, physician, or any other qualified professional.

Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something in upfield. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services (for example, 911) immediately.

You must be at least 16 years old to use upfield. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use upfield only with the consent and involvement of a parent or guardian.

Provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and don’t share your account. You’re responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at georges.boum18@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

You keep ownership of what you write and the photos you add. By default your recovery is private to you. When you choose to share a recovery to a circle, you grant other members of that circle, and us, a limited licence to store and display that content solely to operate the Service.

Content you share to a circle is visible to the other members of that circle. Don’t post other people’s private or identifying information, and don’t share anything you don’t have the right to share.

Be decent. Don’t harass, threaten, or abuse other members; don’t post unlawful, hateful, or harmful content; don’t impersonate anyone; don’t give clinical or medical instructions to other members; and don’t attempt to scrape, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms or put members at risk. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account, which permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Peer content is created by other users and is not reviewed or verified by us.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Georges Anthony Boum and upfield’s service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. You use the Service at your own risk.

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use upfield after changes take effect means you accept them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the applicable laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
